Children's Privacy (COPPA)
ɳSelf complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the UK Age Appropriate Design Code (AADC).
Age Requirements
- Under 13: ɳSelf services are not available. Signup is blocked. No data is collected beyond a hashed email address that is automatically discarded after 24 hours.
- 13 to 17: Account creation is permitted. Users in the UK receive more restrictive default privacy settings per the Age Appropriate Design Code (AADC).
- 18 and older: Full access with standard terms.
What We Do Not Do
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13
- We do not serve advertising to any users, including minors
- We do not sell or share personal data of any user
- We do not use dark patterns to encourage data sharing by minors
UK AADC Protections (13-17)
Users aged 13-17 detected as being in the UK receive additional protections:
- All privacy settings default to the most restrictive option
- Location sharing is disabled by default
- Profiling for non-essential purposes is disabled
- Data minimization is enforced more strictly

If you believe your child under 13 has created an ɳSelf account, contact privacy@nself.org. We will promptly delete the account and all associated data.
